Bio: I'm a 37 y/o white male, living in the mountains of southwest Virginia. I'm of Cherokee/Scots-Irish heritage, having been born and raised here. I left home at 17 years old, determined to grow up. "Growing up", meant holding down two jobs and paying all of my bills back then, but it also meant new independence and partying. By 18 I was in the Army for a 4 yr hitch as an infantry paratrooper at the mighty 82nd Airborne. My life changed, then, and it has been a cascade of events since. I'm a 4-yr college grad (Ohio Univ, 1996, Poli Sci), which took me six years to complete, lol. I was recalled back into the Army for Persian Gulf War I, then a marriage, then a divorce, which all kinda sidelined my college career, but I persevered. I'm a self-starter, and don't require a lot of maintenance to make happy, or at least satisfied. I still look at every day as a gift from above, and I tend to have a sense of humor about most things.
